Who we are
Prabandh is the software brand of Manhotra Consulting ("we", "us"). Manhotra Consulting operates these websites and decides why and how the personal data you give us here is used, which makes us the Data Fiduciary for it under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act).
This policy covers the marketing websites only. Data that our customers keep in the Prabandh product is theirs; how we look after it is set out on the Data Protection page and in each customer's agreement.
What we collect, and why
| What | When | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, work e-mail, mobile number, company, website, country, industry, company size and your message | When you send an inquiry or demo request | To reply, arrange a demo and send you what you asked for |
| The modules you put in your cart | When you send an inquiry with a shortlist | To prepare a demo and a proposal for those modules |
| Your consent and when you gave it | When you tick the consent box | To show that you agreed to be contacted |
| Your IP address, browser and the pages requested | On every visit, in the hosts' request logs | To deliver the pages, keep the sites secure and find faults |
We use inquiry details only to answer you and to talk to you about Prabandh. We do not sell personal data, rent it out or share it for others' advertising.
What we do not do
- No analytics cookies, advertising pixels or tracking scripts run on these websites.
- No account is needed to read the sites, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
- The module cart is kept in your own browser's local storage. It is not sent to us until you submit an inquiry, and you can clear it at any time from the cart page or your browser.
Services that receive data
To run the websites we rely on a few outside services. Each receives only what it needs:
- Prabandh's own systems receive your inquiry first, into our customer relationship records.
- Formspree delivers the inquiry by e-mail, and is used on its own if our system cannot be reached, so that no request is lost.
- Google reCAPTCHA may check the inquiry form for automated abuse. Google's privacy policy applies to what it collects.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your browser sends its IP address to Google when a page loads.
- YouTube serves our product video in its privacy-enhanced mode, which sets no cookies until you play the video.
- Hosting providers (Vercel for www.prabandh.in; Cloudflare in front of retail-plm.prabandh.in) keep request logs as part of serving the pages.
Some of these services process data outside India. Where they do, we rely on transfers that the DPDP Act permits and on the providers' own safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry details for as long as we are talking to you about Prabandh, and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer, when your agreement sets the period. We delete or anonymise them after that, or sooner if you ask. Hosting logs are kept by the providers for their own short, fixed periods.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we have used it;
- have it corrected, completed or brought up to date;
- have it erased when it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it for;
- withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it; this stops further contact but does not undo what was done before;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to;
- have a grievance addressed by our Grievance Officer, and then, if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
If you write to us from the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United Arab Emirates, we will honour the equivalent rights your own law gives you. To use any of these rights, e-mail contact@prabandh.in. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
Security
We protect personal data with reasonable security safeguards: encrypted connections to these sites, access limited to the people who need it, and a record of who changed what. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will tell you and the Data Protection Board without delay if a breach affects your data.
Children
These websites are for businesses. They are not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect a child's personal data. If you believe a child has sent us details, write to us and we will delete them.
Grievance Officer

We acknowledge every privacy request or complaint and resolve it within the time the DPDP Act and its rules allow.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use personal data, we will update this page and its effective date. Where the change is significant and we hold your contact details, we will tell you before it applies.
